I think the new Pepsi is a lot nicer imo. Great choice!

… and looks superb on oyster!

You sold a true tool watch for some jewelry, but hey if it makes you it happy god bless.

My prediction is your move to one watch will not last. Especially if you’re this sentimental about the one you traded. Ask me how I know…

I too, prefer the modern iteration over a 16710

I don't care for the big font on the bezel and the bright colors on the new one. Keep what you have it's a classic most important you have memories with it.

An absolute 16710 fanboy will never sell for a 126710. Only adds.
What a pity for such a complete package.
Congrats on the 126710!

I bet you said the same in the "olde days" when someone changed their 1675 for a 5 digit jewellery?

Sad to see it go. I love the 16710! Such a great tool watch and daily wearer, I need to get a jubilee for mine! Only time I will part with mine is when I'm at the crematorium haha!

Great watch with a lot of history for you. I'm sure it will be missed but I think you did the right thing by choosing to hold on to the 126710. Now it's time to build even more memories with that one.

Congratulations. Great new watch. No issues with selling the older watch. Just move on and enjoy.

Mine is a 2003 model but I’m surprised you were unable to source a new fully lumed dial through a UK RSC.
I didn’t realize parts were becoming scarce for 5 digits …. They seem to be available for 4 digits

I’m getting my 16710 serviced now at LAWW and they didn’t say anything about lack of parts.

Great move. Sold my 16710 ~4 years ago and moved over to an SD43 and have never regretted it. The 16710 is a very charming watch, but the new ones are significantly better IMO. Enjoy that six digit and never look back!

Personally, I would never trade my 16710. It is the best watch ever made by Rolex.

That watch looks amazing on you but you do you. I’m currently on the hunt for a 16710 coke on jubilee, no lug holes.

Nope! 16710 is just as much a tool watch as the 1675

Having more than one 6 digit GMT and a 16710 if I had to sell them all and keep one…. It would without hesitation be the 16710. Classic Rolex tool watch and 6 combinations!

^ this 100 % also for me.
However, personal preferences are hardly debatable.
