Patek Automatic 3445 sold for $9500

It's pretty amazing that these head-only pieces are fetching such astronomical prices. I guess the Nautilus hype is having an impact across the entire range... including the Calatrava lineup.

yeah that's a $4000 watch all day long. I would never pay a penny over.

You're entitled to your opinion, but the market doesn't agree with you.

It's mindblowing to me how much these have risen...

I have owned many 3445 and I actually thought $9500 was a great price (based on condition). Many of these regularly trade in the mid teens or higher. Don't get me started on WG or Platinum.

$4000 for a PP automatic is a day long behind us.

Agreed, they were $6'000 for several years, don't think you can get them for less than $8k now. And that is buying from your small time dealers.

If it was a manual wind with a snap back case, you might get it for $5k.

I have seen similar priced around $15k at your brick and mortar stores.

The example that was sold had heavily polished lugs. It didn't even come with a strap or buckle.

3445's for $14K to $23K on Chrono24.
The one offered for $14k has a generic $20 leather strap and a generic box.
And the lugs are so polished that the hallmarks are not visible at all.
The one on ebay had hallmarks with good detail.

Don’t forget about the service “Swiss” dials, too! Most of the 3445 examples offered for sale have been polished and have service dials.

Not sure why you think that this watch has a service dial. The SWISS was used by Patek during the 1970's when this watch would have possibly been made. Additional I thought that the lugs were very crisp. The hallmarks on the back of the lugs are also very crisp. And the caseback appears to be original. I think this was a really good buy!!

That's a great watch. One of my ex-wives wears her late father's 3445 with the full factory gold bracelet. It's amazing.
