SEL notch on 5 digit Datejust case?
So latley ive been deciding between a 5 & 6 digit datejust, ideally id like a 5 digit datejust with a solid end link bracelet from the 126234 or 116234 but in all my serching I have yet to find a 5 digit Datejust with the milled SEL notch that is required for the bracelet to correctly mount.
My questions are: 1. Are there any 5 digit Datejusts that had the milled notch? 2. Are the 126234 & 116234 bracelets interchangable? (62800 & 63600) |

The machined notch I am talking about is the "female" portion of the bracelets mounting mechanism which are are present in every 6 digit rolex, SEL & SOME transitional 5 digit sports models, this is only visible with the bracelet removed.
Ive attached a pic of a 116200 (notch present) & a 16234 (without notch) In my search I have seen a bunch of transitional sub/gmt/EXPII that originally came with hollow end link bracelets but still contain a machined notch under the serial/model number to allow for the retrofitting of modern rolex bracelets but I have yet to see even one 5 digit Datejust with this notch present and am beginning to think they may not even exist? |
