Luxury Watch Brand Discussion

Hi all,

Just sharing the latest Bark and Jack video because I think it is an interesting discussion and he mentions many of the brands we talk about in this forum.

Here is the link:

Interesting video and I’m sure he’s broadly ‘correct’, but does it really matter to anyone in the real world beyond marketing managers trying to come up with brand strategies?

As a simple consumer I will buy what I like and what matches my lifestyle, regardless of where it may fit in an artificially segmented pyramid.

Well said!

(His editing department didn't catch misspellings on A. Lange and Söhne along with Vacheron Constantin)

Luxury Watch Brand Discussion

He should have just skipped the semantics and said here are the 4 or 5 tiers of luxury watches. Omega, Tudor and Breitling are luxury watches, period. So are Nomos, Oris, Longines and Tag Heuer. They’re obviously not in the same tier as the Holy Trinity, but they’re luxury watches nonetheless. They just fall in a lower tier.

Agreed, and the ultra-top tier above the typical three.
