Help with authenticity vintage Milgauss parts
I was hoping someone could shed light on these parts. Red Arrow on hands were said to be refinished. Case serial number is 25** which checked out. Case condition seems really sharp in person. Thanks in advance for the help.

Resolution is too low. Need images of the case serials. IF you need help posting images put it in an image shack or whatever and PM to me, I'll embed in thread.

From what I can see the parts look to be genuine and are for a 1019 Milgauss, but I'm puzzled by the photo of the side view of the case. Is the 5 o'clock spring bar hole really close to the top of the lug? If so, that might explain why the case has been scrapped.
I'm also puzzled by the OP's intentions as there was another of his threads asking for a 1580 movement (or parts for it), the movement developed for the 1019. OP, are you seriously considering trying to build a 1019 Milgauss out of parts? If so, you will get better responses by telling us exactly what you want to do/what you have/what you can source, etc. Although it might be possible to complete a 1019 build eventually, it would be a very frustrating project trying to find the relatively rare parts and the cost involved to obtain the movement and the dial would make it prohibitively expensive for me, especially when the end result would be a non-original "Frankenwatch". |

Yeah I just purchased the parts and was curious if someone had a movement I figured it was worth a shot since I was waiting for the parts to arrive and I had already purchased.
I had intended on just holding onto to the parts or building it if for myself if I got lucky. I didn’t try to hide it as the post you are referring to was made by me the other day lol on this forum but I just wanted to make sure it was genuine. |

CTech,
I get where you’re coming from I am not holding my breath but if I end up coming across the parts I’d probably just build it as a beater that I wouldn’t worry about devaluing. |

The spring bar holes look odd, could you post pics of the engravings?

I think they refinished/polished it and that’s why they are uneven but I will post some more pictures shortly thank you

Thank you for your input I really appreciate it I know after looking at the second hand I had my doubts as well and the seller told me that it was probably a refinished job. I took some better pictures outside this morning I will post them once I’m back home thank you all.

The case looks wrong to me and I’m sitting with a 1019 on my wrist. I don’t like the scratches over the engravings either.

Thank you Goochy I appreciate your help. Always good to have the opinion of someone that has first hand knowledge with the piece.

The scratches on the engravings look unnatural to me as well. Would expect more on the case if they were bouncing around a parts bin for the last 50 years, or them to be more consistent with normal bracelet endlink wear which is generally a line following a curved endlink continuously
