Disappointing Visit to Panerai Boutique Today

Visiting Las Vegas for a trade show and I had a free day, so I headed over to the Panerai Boutique at the Forum Shops at Ceasar's Palace.

To say it's a Boutique or store is an overstatement, it's more of a closet, very small store. There were a couple very stuffy salesmen and no more than 20-25 watches on site.

I am interested in the 1537, Luminor GMT with Power Reserve in the 42mm size. I have tried on Panerai watches before in the 44mm size and they are way too large for my wrist.

The salesman told me that they no longer make 42mm watches in the Luminor line despite them being shown on their website, and that they haven't seen that watch in the 44mm size for quite a while either.

I tried another model in 44mm and it was much too wide for my wrist, lug to lug wasn't bad. The only 42mm they had was a submersible and that did fit a bit better.

I guess the look for a new watch will have to go on.

Fortunately, not all boutiques are the same. I went to the Panerai boutique in NYC and it was very nice, with friendly salespeople and a great selection. You can also buy direct from their website which has a 30 day return or exchange policy.

Disappointing Visit to Panerai Boutique Today

Boutique in South Coast Plaza is excellent, and the staff is top notch.

Well, sorry the visit was a bummer. I was looking for the 1535 or alternatively, the 1537 myself in the spring. Tried calling around, reached out to the Panerai Concierge, etc, and came up with nada. They’re discontinued, so they told me.

I ended up going with the 1321 GMT in 44mm - a size I previously thought was too large for me - and I’m nuts about the fit and comfort. Worth a shot.

I was at the same boutique a few months ago and had the same experience.

No interesting items in stock and salesmen who were low energy and not interested...

I bought my 1316 there just a month ago and the service was great. It took me two days to decide and my sales person answered all my questions and we exchanged multiple texts.

Dear Sir,

we did read your comment regarding the bad customer service received at the Panerai boutique in Las Vegas.

Since the Customer Care is at the core of Panerai values and we want to maintain the level very high, we kindly ask your contact details to track back your experience and hopefully improve it for your next visit.

Can you please let us know the following information:

Name, Surname, country of residence, contact information (phone number / email address), and Panerai watch details (if already owned one): Watch serial number and Boutique name and location of purchase.

Many thanks

Panerai

I'm out of the Pasadena area in California, I've never stepped into a Panerai Boutique, but the staff at the Bal Harbour Boutique has been amazing, especially Neila... I order directly from them and she takes care of me every time. I'm hoping to visit next year.

Visited the Boutique in Aspen this past week. It was close to closing time but the staff was super friendly, allowed me to take my time and browse and he answered any questions I had. He also showed me there pre-owned area on the second floor and we had a good chat about the current state of the pre-owned market. Great experience and would recommend anyone in the area pay them a visit.

I purchased from them last week via a phone deal. They were beyond outstanding. They found the watch I was looking for in less than a day and then overnighted it same day. Amazing staff there!

Oliver Smith Jewelers has a YouTube channel, they carry Panerai. They are in Colorado and Arizona. They’ve carried Panerai since the 2000’s. They’d be able to get you what you needed.

Some boutiques only want to sell what’s in inventory. Plenty of dealers out there. Might need to drive around till you find one.
