silver dials

Anybody have any information about the silver day/date dials with diamond markers? Popularity, rarity, years they were made, does Rolex still use them, etc.?

They’ve probably been made continuously since the 1960s. Not uncommon, especially on white gold DDs.

Lots of aftermarket diamonds added to genuine dials out there, too, so be wary!
