Winding Stem question
Hi everyone, I have a meters first 5513 with a damaged crown that I'd like to replace. Couple of questions:
1. I already have the replacement crown, will I also need to get a new stem? 2. If so, does anybody know the correct stem I should be using? (part no.) Thanks! |

These should be the possible part numbers for a 5513.
movement calibers: 1520-1530 crowns: 700-702 stem: 1326L source: movement/crown Rolex R.20 Oyster Catalog stem: C&E Marshall Watch Material Catalog. |

1326L is marshall’s own catalog part # for the stem.
Rolex part number is 1530-7869 And yes you’ll have to cut these to size. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Reviving this thread. Part number is 7869, but does anyone know the proper length to cut these too? I have done this before on other watches and it is a bit of a pain trial and error. Wondering if anyone has a proper sized winding stem from a 5513 that they could measure overall length. Thanks!

Also, after cutting it's good to gently run the end at an angle in a rotating manner across a sand/grinding stone. Typically when you use cutting pliers you create a wedge with sharp corners that could get pushed out beyond the diameter of the threads. This needs to be removed before you wind the new crown on. Lastly, I would recommend a drop of non-permanent loctite between the two.
