Women's Rolex Cellini from 1970s - ID Request
Hi All,
My mother-in-law showed me her Rolex Cellini that she received as a wedding gift back in the 1970s however given that I know almost nothing about the Cellini line let alone vintage Rolexes, I'd love to solicit the forum's knowledge on any info on what this reference could possibly be. It's in terrible shape and hasn't been worn in decades as she broke it a few years after the wedding. I'd love to be able to restore it for her properly in time for her 70th birthday coming up at the beginning of 2023. Apologies for the terrible photo quality. It was really hard to capture details of the watch as so much of it has faded and worn away but would appreciate any details on the reference and suggestions/referrals for restoration/service. Thank you. |

Welcome aboard OP. Its a real Cellini, probably a 14K gold case and bracelet. If you can pop off the caseback there should be some markings on the inside which will tell us gold content. Really, all you can do is have it polished lightly to bring out the shine and to get rid of the light scratches and have the movement serviced.
A service and polish wont be cheap. I am going to guess around $1400 but it will bring it back to near new in appearance.
