Help swapping 78360 link (plus spring bar) in my 14060
Hey all. Need the experts to chime in here please as I havent been able to find the answer myself.
I purchased a (my second after letting one go years ago) 14060 last week. My original watch didnt have the diver extension but the newer one does. As such, I am having some trouble getting the right fit without the clasp pulling towards the 12 oclock side. After some research on here I found people have taken off the divers extension link and replaced it with a 78360 link, eliminating the divers extension and allowing for more micro adjustment options within the clasp. Conceptually this made sense to me so I found an OEM 78360 link and it arrived today. But turns out my spring bar from the diver extension link is way too fat to fit in the hole on this new link. Asking if anyone knows what size spring bar I need to fit in the hole on a 78360 link. Length wise should be the same but width wise its gotta be significantly thinner. You can see in my professional grade photos, in blue is my diver extension and the spring bar that I removed. In orange is the new 78360 link but what spring bar do I need to fit in that little hole? Thanks all!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Honestly, I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but that hole is for a pin, not a spring-bar. The pin slips through that hole and is a press-fit into the holes in the tabs the end of the blade.
edit: I think I understand what you're doing. Unfortunately that link is for the other side of the bracelet. The side that attaches to the blade, not the side that slips into the clasp.

I've done that a few times, fitting GMT clasp side link to a 93150 bracelet, to eliminate the diver's extension.
93150 use 2.0mm spring bars on the clasp link (the last on the bracelet 12 0'clock side) You'll need 1.8mm for the 78360 "32-20686" you've just gotten. Part number is "20-733" for the 1.8mm spring bar. |

Oh man!!! Thanks all for the posts. Yeah it looks like I have the wrong link. What a bummer - I found it online from a shop in France. No chance of returning that.
Appreciate the help. Now at least I know the exact things I need to get. You guys are the best. |
