Should I pull the trigger on this 2009 ROO?
I'm on holiday and was offered this new 2009 AP ROO from an AD for $17,000 (15% off retail of $20k) with no tax:
http://www.vialuxe.com/Audemars-Pigu...1/Watch/501428 It's the new silvered dial with red accents on SS bracelet. And it has AP's new in-house movement. The watch is stunning but I am new to AP and am just not sure if 15% off is fair in this economy. I could easily get 20% off a Rolex, maybe even 25%. The AD of course told me that like Panerai, authorized dealers can not discount much off AP watches. Opinions on this deal?

I say if you like the watch go for it. Shop around, see what other ADs are willing to give you on discounts.

My favorite dial on this watch. Incredible piece!
It sounds like a fair deal to me. That version only came out at this year's SIHH. Try www.westime.com in LA, or call Al at www.armstrongrockwell.com and see how close they are. Al is a great guy! I say go for it.

I might be wrong, but that MSRP looks low to me. I can't comment on current discounts on a newer release, but that dial looks great!

Looks good to me, kind of reminds me of the arabic silver dial WG Daytona.
Just make sure you've done your homework on the price, if that checks out as a good deal and it makes you smile, why not

I tried on the Ti version, which is similarly beautiful!
Only a few hundred $$ extra, so appeals more to me. .... almost typed something like "better value", but that would be a nonsense! |
