Description: Incredibly proud to offer this superb and complete Patek Philippe ref. 3940 in Platinum. A somewhat historic moment for Watch Brothers London with the 3940 Reference Guide being one of the first articles to be published on the site. Now to be able to offer one for sale, especially a set such as this one, is a truly awesome feeling hard to explain!

Looking at the case condition it is really an exceptional example, retaining all original lines, hallmarks/markings deep and with only minor hairlines to report + some light marks from previous strap changes.

The dial is flawless with a subtle nighttime indicator at the 9 o’clock sub dial. The texture is lightly brushed, consistent with the 3rd series and the SWISS at 6 o’clock sits inline with the minute track. The way the sub dials hit at certain angles gives a somewhat two tone aesthetic to the dial, insanely enjoyable and visually stunning from all angles.

The strap (A Collected Man strap currently fitted) is attached to the original platinum deployment ft. Calatrava cross. Again condition is excellent and hallmarks crisp. A brand new OEM strap in green to follow.

The set itself is complete, everything it was sold with is present inc all the original documents such as the certificate of origin, extract from the archive, pusher pin and winding box (with outer box also). Plus lots of other leaflets and folders, all of which can be seen in the photos.

The watch was recently serviced (mechanical only) at Patek Philippe and comes with the 2yr international service warranty.

Overall an insane watch, a perfect set and something to be enjoyed for many a years to come. We cannot wait to meet the new owner, will it be you?
