Rolex 6084
Hi, I have this Rolex and would like to get some information about its value, its a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubbleback, Officially (written in red, is it a sign of limited edition?) certified chronometer. It was made in the 3rd quarter of 1952 as the bracelet is marked 3 52 and the watch serial number also coincides with this year. Case, movement and the bracelet is signed Rolex. The crown is signed "Super Oyster Rolex". The case and the bracelet is in very beautiful 18k rose gold.
If anyone has idea about its value, please comment. Thank you, I have included a picture of the watch as attachment. |

Hi there. that looks gorgeous, but I wonder if the dial might have been refinished? Does it say Swiss or Swiss Made at the bottom? That might affect the value a bit. But a solid pink gold semi-Bubbleback and matching bracelet are undoubtably very collectable. One other thing I noticed is that the bracelet may have been retro-converted at some point from one with straight ends to one with flush endpieces, as these did not begin to be seen until about 1954, AFAIK.
