Review of Rolex Datejust 16613 from year 1984 in its original shape
I hope you like it. It's pretty cool watch but in quite rough shape.

I enjoyed your review, thanks!! I had the pleasure of beating up a 16013 for nearly 30 years! I still get to visit it when I see my daughter - she's in charge for the next 30 years!

A great review of a great watch, I love my DJ41 and my Sub41, just a pair of classic watches. Unlike the watch in your review mine are destined to get most of their wear from my kids as I came Rolex later in my life.

Such a great look these older Rolex watches, maybe better than their modern relatives, or maybe a modern Rolex just hasn’t had the time to mellow into old age.

I hope your friend gets many more years of wear from this DateJust.

The bracelet stretch has to be addressed. Other than that all those dings and scratches just give it more character. They are his father's scratches.

Hi by how much does the stretch affect the value of the watch? For eg. If the value is $5k how would the stretch affect this figure?

I think the forum members can answer that.

It's very tricky problem because there aren't many watchsmiths that can fix it.

Honest answer: I have no idea.

PS: Changing the bracelet to star isn't an option as the Jubilee bracelet is so essential for this particular model, imho.

Klokkeland in Norway fixes the Rolex bracelet stretching problems. Pretty much the only option I've come up with.
