Buying from Ebay
Hi, I wanted to get someone’s opinion on this. I’m 21 & to be blunt don’t know much about Rolex watches.
I was looking to purchase a 1998 DIAMOND MOP Ladies Rolex Midsize 31mm Datejust Jubilee Steel 68274 Watch off of eBay. Seller is Collectors Huntington. I realize that the bezel and dial are “custom” which I realize is not original- I am fine with that but am curious if I am overpaying. Purchase price is $6200. Any advice/ comments are very much appreciated. Thank you! I’d really appreciate some advice as this is a big purchase for my age! |

"Custom" bezel and dial - forget about it.
Rolex considers such modifications and counterfeit modifications and will not touch your watch for any servicing or repairs. So proceed at your own risk.

Correct. If you do purchase, plan to never send it to Rolex for a service, though there are many trusted/reliable places out there besides Rolex who can service their watches.
Price-wise: look at prices for the same reference number, should cost the same if not LESS than an original piece. |
