I can’t believe we haven’t seen a picture of the watch in question

Beautiful watch, but wearing it with a blue striped shirt or hairy arms shows why it doesn’t work!!

This is much better from an aesthetic viewpoint than the John Mayer. I feel the JM is too green and the yellow gold....they just clash. Would it be worth so much if JM didn't give that stupid Hodinkee interview?

This is the better execution of full gold on green.

I had it and sold it.
It’s no doubt a beautiful piece, but I just never fell in love with it so moved on…
And yes, the green looks black much of the time.

After visiting the Omega boutique last week, I can definitely say the Canopus gold is the best of the bunch, followed closely by the Moonshine on Moonshine. Apart from the heft, the dial just really pops in a good way but in a very stealth manner still (for both of those watches). The Canopus gives you that extra stealth since it's gray colored. I'm hunting for the Canopus now lol.

Moonshine on Moonshine is the way to go! That would be my choice too! Congratulations and wear it in good health!

Canopus is awesome stealth option. Retail price is outrageous IMO but several options on secondary market.

I love the watch and (to me) it’s worth every bit I paid for it because it makes me happy.

Honestly it’s been getting the lion’s share of my wrist time anyways since I prefer not wearing a Rolex at work for some of the stigmas associated with it.
Steve, I get it as well and I’m glad to hear you put your moment with the watch ahead of what it might be worth down the road

If you have seen, how do you like the green dial? Too dark?

From pics and video the color combo looks awesome and much less blingy than Rolex DD in gold.

Thanks!
I saw one at the Omega Boutique in San Francisco today, Ask for Andre

BUT - I know this sounds crazy but after trying on the Canopus gold speedmaster it might be my choice for a couple of reasons. Understated, stealth option that wears very nicely. Less likely to attract unwanted attention. I know, very different look than the others. Price is pretty outrageous though. Second hand pricing more “affordable.”

It’s good to have options!

To the post on Rolex being a better investment, it is more about the watch I want to wear than an investment. I already have three Rolex options to put on my wrist every morning. Time to branch out a bit!
On bracelet at Omega San Francisco today

For those who wonder, yes the dial can look black, very dark in a dim room.

But put some light on it and it really pops!
