Thank you

Yes Superluminova service dial. If the dial was service replacement the hands are likely too.

Easy to check - they'll glow like a torch still.

Yes dial and hands are post-2000 luminova items, plexi is service too and D/w I suspect is too.

So in addition:

For how long does/did Rolex make service dials for the older models?

Lets say I bring in a 1675 tot RSC with a destroyed dial. What would they do?

RSC put away thousands and thousands of Swiss Dial Luminova's into Service Dept's when the A and U serial was introduced (btw it's why imho swiss only A and U watches will never be truly collectable as they are EXACTLY as service dial watches).

This stockpile lasted until about 2006, and the more popular dials stockpiles ran out.

So there are still Luminova Swiss dial 1675 being delivered I think.... BUT say a 16600 sea dweller I got back with a new dial from RSC last year, had a SWISS MADE Luminova dial...go figure!!

I suspect some models may even have a SUPER LUMINOVA service dial (lume up light blue) but I've not seen one in the old types of watches (53-99) I prefer .

What year is it? I don't think its a service dial. Service dials were not "enclosed" swiss. Its a U or A series transitional dial that was used 1998-1999 only, its luminova. Later dials 2000+ were super luminova. Pre 1998 were tritium. They will be highly collectable in years to come.

It is a service dial. I really like these matte service dials. You can find them amongst all professional models

We're talking way later after this reference was discontinued. You can't compare these to A or U serial models.

If it is not a service dial, what reference do you think the dial was made for in 1998-99?

No 1675 in 1998-99. It was gloss dial 16710 at that point.

That is a 1675 service with luminova.
