Smaller Code Theories?
A lot of rumors have been coming out about smaller code 11.59s.
What's interesting to me is that the cal. 4302 is purpose built for a 41mm case and reducing the size would likely mean either removing the date window, having the date off-center, reducing the inner bezel size, or using a new calibre movement either in-house or from a third party. I feel like AP is moving away from third party movements and transitioning their catalog to fully in house, so it will be interesting to see what gets put into this case. I think a fume dial in 39mm time only, no date, with the new indexes of the steel codes would be absolute perfection. A little extra thinness would also be amazing. The only thing I really DO NOT want is the smaller codes to be gem extravaganzas. What do you guys think we'll see in a smaller code if it comes? |

Also heard the 38m will be ladies focused, at least initially.

Didn't they say when the 41mm code was launched it was supposed to be unisex? I haven't seen a lot of women wearing any I must admit.
Anyways, curious to see what these will look like. |

Dominique Crenn wears the code 11 (don’t like either of her Sf restaurants though) Anyways, I’ve heard from multiple people at multiple boutiques worldwide that the new codes are def geared towards women |

I don't know what AP has against men who want to wear a sub 40mm watch lol. I like my Code but definitely would love it more at 38-39mm.

A smaller code would be great, but not sure 38/39 will be something many women can pull off. The 37 offshores are chunky on me, but I think I can make those work. Larger though? Ehhh… and I’m someone who would be excited to get a code in a size that fits me

I couldn't agree more with the need for AP to address the sizing issue. A smaller size would significantly help expand the demographic of those wearing the Code range.
On a related point, I don't know why AP seems to only offer the 37mm Offshore with diamond bezels... Without the diamonds perhaps it could even have been a unisex type of watch, similar to the 15550 (37mm) & 26715 (38mm) Royal Oak references.

Many of the female Asian AP SA's wear Codes, and my wife thinks the watches look great on them. Also seen many SA's with 37mm ROOs looking good as well.

It's my wife's new favorite. Will probably ask for it next.

Reduce the size to 39mm and remove the date - that'll get me on board for the code.
