New watch exceeding power reserve

I have a few 2023 models and the variation between the OP41 power reserve and the others is pretty vast

If I let them run down and give them the a equal amount of windings and set the time I'll regularly get over 85 hours on the 124300 before it stops compared to between 70-72 on a 126610 or 126334

This is with them stored in a watch roll along side each other and all three stay within -2/+2 per day spec

I know it's a simplier movement but it still surprised me

I would assume the no date of the OP plays a major factor in this?

Yeah that's what I figured
Currently running for 86 hours (in a case) and still going strong

It's like the old Durecall bunny advert with the other watches having given up long ago!

That’s awesome, more reason to love an OP.

Funny the differences. My 126334 for no apparent reason seems to last 10-12 hours longer at full wind than my 126610. Not sure why. They have exactly the same movement. I don’t really care I suppose as both keep the time fine. It’s just funny the differences.

Interesting. I don’t have any 32xx but from my experience the 31xx movements don’t tend to outlast their spec with still keeping proper time.

For example, one of my 3135’s really surprised me last week by somehow going to about 58-60 hours but it was about 3 hours off of the actual time. The hours and seconds were both off….I was just stunned it was still going though.

It lasted for 5 minutes into day 4 before it finally stopped so 96 hours!
A whole day more than the DJ41 on the left

Wonderful!

I hope you're not disappointed if it ever runs less than that

I set all three (also a 126610LN) to 6pm a few days after they'd stopped running and then used a timing app on my iPhone to mark the time

Both the Sub and the DJ ran for between 70-72 hours and the OP41 managed 90-96 hours

Not the most scientific method but I did it twice and the results were similar

Power reserve is way down my list of importance in any watch as most even Rolex has a round thing on one side of the watch case and guess what it's for winding the watch when needed. And all quotes on manufacturers power reserve are only a appox time could be several hours different either way.

You should try one of these modern quartz watches. The power reserve lasts a few years and they’re always on time.

I just checked my 14060M and it ran for 98 hours.

And that is an exact time. I picked it up every hour to check that it was still running.

Tsk tsk. By picking it up every hour you added significantly to the power reserve.

You're allowed to _look_ at the watch but not mess with it. Please repeat the experiment.
