Lawrence Of Arabia’s Omega

This vid has finally been posted on YouTube. Clip is from 2000 UK Antiques Roadshow, and the watch is now in Omega's museum after being sold for 86,000 CHF at the Antiquorum Genève auction in 2000.

Dial looks very clean, maybe a service dial?

Porcelain dials do not age or get patina.

Lawrence Of Arabia’s Omega

I would love a contemporaneous photograph of TEL or TES wearing that watch.

Omega loved the AR story so much they re-issued 18 LE TT WG/RG copies asking $137,300. From the website:

DESCRIPTION
For this ambitious 47.50 mm timepiece, an original 18’’’ CHRO calibre was retrieved from the vaults at the OMEGA museum. Dating from 1913, it is the exact same movement used in OMEGA’s first ever wrist-chronographs.

Through a special and dedicated process, the prized calibre was delicately refurbished by the experts at OMEGA’s Atelier de Tourbillon and given a new lease of life, subsequently being named as the new OMEGA calibre 3018.

For the outside design, OMEGA has closely followed the traditional look of an OMEGA wrist-chronograph from 1913, with classic details such as the riveted leather strap and the white enamel dial with blued “Empire” hands and hollow Arabic numerals.

Modern materials have also been included, such as 18K white gold for the case, and 18K Sedna gold for the crown and pusher. The classic design also features a hatched caseback, which can be flipped open to reveal the movement positioned behind sapphire-crystal. Only 18 of these Limited Edition chronographs have been made.

One day I need to visit the Omega museum to see some of the historically significant pieces they've got there.

Thanks for those photos

Neither watch appear to be the large pocket watch casement made by Omega on a 3 rivet strap as described in the auction.

Both appear to be smaller to me - did you notice that?

Yeah the first one looks like a cushion case.
The second one appears it could possibly be the Omega.
