Smh ebay seller sent me box with no watch and ebay took his side

Very disgusted with ebay. I purchased a Dietrich ot-12 on ebay as I really wanted a Dietrich for a while to add to my collection of unusual watches.

The seller had great feedback and other watches in his store. The package was supposed to be signed for but house cameras showed the usps worker just put it by the door (I was away for the duration of the day)

However the box did not look tampered with. Seller alleges he sent the watch but all I received was the watch box with sealed booklet and no watch. Ebay took his side and closed the case in his favor so now I opened a paypal claim.

When I have sold watches on ebay, I have to send then to ebay for authentication, who then send them on to the buyer.

Nope zero reasoning =(

So strange though seller has 100% feedback and his store has a buncha other watches (xeric's etc) At first I thought maybe USPS workers stole it but the box did not look tampered with

odd that ebay sided with the seller. as a seller I've been burned multiple times, I rarely bother with ebay. sold a pair of mint condition headphones, guy said he didn't like the way they sounded and they were damaged. looked like he took a knife and put cuts all over it and destroyed the wood finish. he got a refund and I got busted up headphones and no money. anyways no help to you but I've found long term ends up being more expensive using ebay than a storefront.
