The Chronograph P3133 is based on the Swiss Valjoux 7734 movement,they bought the old tooling and rights.The Val 7734 was
in production from 1969-78 less than 2 million were made.Then the
Russian Poljot firm modified the Val 7734 into the P3133


But most movements that Poljot uses are based on popular Swiss movements,plus today in some of there watches,they use full ETA movements like the 2824.

The P3133 is based on the Valjoux 7734 movement.

The P2612 is based on the AS 1475 (alarm) movement

Great info Peter, as always I'm a bit disapointed in Patek, I always thought they only used in-house components. You might want to look into Poljot, I believe they make everything themselves too in some watches. I used to own a copy of the anual 'Watches' special issue, this is great for reference because they mention all movement details on all the watches they list!

Can you please give us more info about Rolex Sapphire Crystals.. Are they manufactured by a Rolex owned factory ? I've read in Watch Time Magazine that [ COMADUR ] - Owned by Swatch Group is the largest crystals manufacturer & supplier to most Swiss watches makers including Rolex..

Raymond Weil is one of the newer kids on the block in Swiss made watches. While the name has been around since before WW11 Raymond Weil was named after the original guy who founded the company in Geneva.The new Raymond Weil was only formed in 1976,right in Japanese the quartz influx crisis.But today the brand remains one of the last true Swiss independents they make a lot of ladies watches.Today they use exclusively stock or lightly-modified ETA movements in-house.But like many Swiss manufactures may soon I would expect go down the road to use Sellita, Soprod, and perhaps other movements,so they would fit into group 7.

From some YouTube account they have the best lume using Tritec, thus I am drawn to it. Except for the ETA 2824 it is said they make most of their own particularly the improved sandwich style/sealed dial.

Hi all... I am a little confused by a watch I forgot I have had in the drawer. Took it out today and I can't remember where or when I bought it. I tried posting photos but it won't work. The watch looks exactly like a Franck Muller Conquistador, gold color and he back is steel which says TARADO No. 88 750 (6002 M QZ) MASTER SQUARE. Any ideas what it could be? Thank you.
