Any insights on the 37MM Yachtmaster Chocolate Dial?
I have been searching for a decent unisex Rolex model as a 70th birthday gift for my mum. The idea is that it can eventually be an heirloom that I can wear in the future.
I have been considering the 37MM Yachtmaster 268621 two tone with chocolate dial as an option. For reference, I am a 6'3" man who usually wears a 41MM sub or 40MM Maxi case GMT. Mum is about 6' but with relatively slight wrists - she doesn't like the look or feel of a Sub on the wrist, but she found a 36MM Datejust 'too delicate' for her tastes. Try as I might, I can't seem to find a 37MM Yachtmaster for her to try on in any of the ADs that are near where she lives. Are there any users who have this reference (or have a family member with it) who can comment on how it wears? Thanks in advance! |

Seems to be a pretty good choice if a DJ is to delicate for her : cheers: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I have a 16.5-17cm wrist and I own the 40mm version, here is picture for comparison. With its more curvacious case (vs the Sub) and also being thinner, I think it wears much much better than the Sub. I had a chance to try on the full rose gold version in 37mm on OF and it felt extremely tiny in my opinion. Hope this helps a little....

Hi, I can chime in on this! I have that exact watch shared with my wife, I normally wear 41 op, 41 sub or Ceramic Daytona, and I wear the Yachtmaster when I fancy something lighter and smaller. works really good with polo and jeans! I do have to wear it with all links in, I am 6ft, not the thinnest, never measured my wrist! It is really comfortable, and in the brown dial bi-metal makes a statement without being too shouty. Definitely deserves consideration.

I have this exact configuration under the tree for my wife for Christmas. My wife is very petite 5’3” and small wrists. I went this watch only because she has asked me several times for a chocolate dial watch and she happens to love rose gold. She currently has a OP 36 as well a datejust 36 and a OP 34 and an Omega planet ocean it’s a 37.5 she EASILY wears all these pieces (not at the same time of course) her go to piece is the DJ 36 mostly because she likes the “bling” it has - her words not mine lol. It has a diamond bezel and a diamond mother of pearl dial. I’ll share some pictures of it after Santa makes his way to our house Christmas morning.

What link setup did you go with for sizing on her wrist? The AD wanted to take 3 from the 6'oclock side, but we did 2 and 1... Basically lest a rectangular link on each side before the taper links. Otherwise it would have been a taper direct to the clasp.
