To add to my review, here is a small overview over the changes that the Daytona 11652x with inhouse movt has seen some seen since year 2000:

  1. From year 2000 until year 2005: Parachrom hairspring but NOT the blued version. The blue version came with the D-series in year 2005.

    See this video:

And in the below Rolex documents, you get it "straight from the horse's mouth" that the Parachrom hairspring wasn't blue initially:

  2. "Skinny" (thin) hands on the Daytona 11652x from year 2000 to around 2003/2004 (mid to late F-series). After the mid-late F-series, the hands got fatter.
  3. RBR (Rolex Branded Rehaut) from the Z-series ("ROLEXROLEX" and serial number on rehaut round the dial).
  4. Removal of the green caseback sticker and and introduction of the "credit card" style certificate; also with the Z-series.
  5. From around the late M-series / early V-series: Daytona gets an updated clasp, the same style as the one seen on the GMT II 116710; i.e.: springloaded tip instead of a "button" that the clasp snaps holds onto via friction fit.

OLD-style 116520 clasp:

NEW-style 116520 clasp (same style as the GMT II 11671x):

At the risk of reviving a really old thread that has been revived multiple times in the past, I would like to add something here that might be of interest: My SS Daytona is a Z-serial (2006/2007) and yet it has a gray Parachrom hairspring, not a blue one.

I don't know if there were leftover movements with gray hairsprings that made their way into Z-serial cases, or whether the information above is inaccurate. Just wanted to highlight this inconsistency.
