Patek 5980/1R, 5980R and 5980AR discontinued

Hi Guys,
I have just received from my Patek Dealer in Switzerland the latest information that in 2024 there will be no longer the nautilus 5980 chrono in the program and it should be discontinued. Did you receive similar informations or can someone confirm this message?

I have been hoping the demand will slow significantly so prices will return to MSRP and the Nautilus would be readily available before 2030. I want a gold Nautilus but refuse to pay above MSRP. What are the chances?

It never made sense to me why they continued the 5980 after they launched the 5990

The 5980 is much more appealing aesthetically however :)
You’re right I thought when the rose gold 5990 came out that would be it for the 5980 in precious metal the following year.
