Grand Seiko SBGH335 Watches of Switzerland

Ordered this on Friday night thinking I might send it back if I didn’t completely love the dial.

It came the next morning. What do you think?

I quite like it. Dial's got kind of an early 1960s Seikomatic vibe going on. Not sure I could live with it daily. If Rolex did something like that, though, everyone would go crazy for it.

I like it, a lot. Would I wear it daily? Well, I'm not sure. It's very eye catching. I can however see how it could fit in a nice collection and yes, it makes for a nice summer watch

I pulled the trigger first day! It really does offer everything you would want in a watch. I live in Florida, so it's basically always summer here! Shall we call it the Key Lime?

This is my first GS and I am impressed by the whole package - the case shape, movement, dial. Class.

Indeed. This is my second piece from them. When the email came for the release of the watches of Switzerland version, I scanned through the features, and it pretty much covers. Everything being looked for in a watch IMO.

My other GS is an SLGA023 with the blue dial. Absolute stunner!

I’ll post some pictures up later.

Another thing about this green dial. The more I look at it the more I love it! That’s a great sign.

Which High Beat Movement does it have? The 9SA5 or an earlier version?

The dial is quite unique, and some will like it and others won't. Regardless, the overall effect is wonderful. I've owned 2 GS models and they become more special with each wearing. The Zaratsu polishing captures every bit of light, and even in a dimmed concert hall the reflection is strong enough to read the time without any lume on the hands.

Not many people understand the Hi-Beat movement, a true 36,000 VPH masterpiece. The second hand glides majestically around the dial and is spectacular. I bought a GS Spring Drive movement for the constant motion sweep hand, and while the effect is magical, there is nothing better than a true mechanical Hi- Beat movement.

Enjoy the video of the movement: https://youtu.be/uXScB5mY6e0?si=RzHgNKehm2Mp21sU

Wear it in good health.

That’s really nice. They have all three of these in my WoS and they are stunning IMO.

I agree. I do really like the dial & like the darker green of the seconds hand. For me it feels like more of an occasional piece

The WoS trio looks "cheap". There's just something wrong with the colours they chose. No refinement - just IN YOUR FACE!

Sorry.
