Parmigiani Fluerier and Vaucher Manufacture Fluerier for sale

Reported that both are for sale. Hermes supposedly owns 20% of the movement manufacturer.

PF values on the secondary market are not strong at all. The Tonda PF chronograph is a great looking watch but at 32K, I’m not surprised at the secondary market values.

Maybe they need a reboot?

I think sandoz has tried to unload PF multiple times throughout the years unsuccessfully. With the PF line being a hit and still the brand taking a big hit in the secondary market can't bode well

Since 2023 the environment for getting buyouts done has been bad. It is hard to get the same levels of debt as before to get deals done.

For example, you could previous get ~40% - 60% of a deal funded with debt. Now it's more like 20%.

If the brand was indeed listed before in 2020 + 2021, then it is not a good sign for them that it didn't sell then...

Opportunity for AP to start calling the 15550 movement “inhouse”.

The brand doesn’t really have any brand equity with consumers so you’re really just buying the back end. Tough for me to see any potential acquirers assuming they aren’t looking for peanuts. Maybe in 2021 when everyone was looking to increase capacity.
