What level of service do you think I'll need?

Not sure if 'level of service' is the correct term, but I'm curious how in-depth of a job I might be looking at for an early 90s Explorer II that has been sitting for 25+ years.

Should I just expect the same kind of maintenance as any other ~5yr service?

There is no variation to the level of service as far as Rolex is concerned.

Basic movement wear parts are included in the cost of service. Unless it needs extras like a new crystal or crown or something it should just be the standard service cost.

I would advise nothing less than a full service. A modern professional model would start at $850.This covers the cost of replacing most movement components and some case & bracelet components as needed. You can forgo refinishing and save $150. I suspect a watch of that era would at least need a crown at $48. A crystal might be required or offered as an option for $135, same with hands at $120.

Those are the common things I estimate for on an Explorer II of that era. Prices are USD and should be the same at ADs and RSCs.

Gotcha. So nothing really beyond a normal service is what I was hoping for.
