That's the std dial of most Jumbos - look where the 1/5th of a second ring (like a chapter ring) is.... much, much further in (or out from dial edge) on OP's ....

I don't think so. The font shape and spacings of all the text (especially the bottom half) I have not seen before on any Jumbo.
Also the length of the second markers are usually circa 2.5 times the length of 1/5 second markers length, as Adampars kind photos show. On yours it's circa 3.25 the length The gold capped cases should show the serial number and model number between the lugs - I have a couple. .

its doing my head in not being able to see the serial. I've not seen these faked before it docent feel fake but vintage is hard to tell. the only things the throw me of is that I have only seen a couple of these with a 2824-1 movement

tend to agree with Paul. The dial doesn't look right - could be a re-dial?

I was wondering would the gold capping have been done after factory or by Tudor themselves

Thanks yes here :
https://fromtimetotimes.com/products/416 I've looked over it and all their stock and they have a few redials and even perhaps re-cased ones. Other than the dial, I've not seen this profile of the case I've had about 15-20 Jumbos but I'm no expert on this model. Look at the top shape (appears wider/thicker/more bulbous) and side profile of the case on all the C24 ones you can....to do that search 'Tudor Jumbo' and they all appear different to this. They taper thinner towards lug holes....this case 7/11 photo, gets fatter for a bit towards lug holes....see here as typical example to compare photo 5/16 is its side profile : Tudor Prince Oysterdate £2,302 https://chrono24.app/tudor/tudor-pri...GB&SETCURR=GBP Ref Gold Capping done by Tudor at factory btw.

The fact you can’t see a serial might suggest a worn out and unidentifiable case was good-capped and dial and hands decorated at the same time.

yes I have no dealer here to take it to who specialise in vintage I will have to wait until I go back to the uk next year. the case could be the gold its very thick as its chipped and still not showing any metal underneath and when I look in person it looks better than the photos |
