Rose Gold Daytona OF Black Dial

I'm after the Sundust dial, my local AD has the black dial variant and I can snag it. Say's that Sundust swings buy in very low numbers. In NZ we only have 2 x AD's so to be fair volume is very low compared to UK/USA etc etc.

Buy it?

I'd be running to my truck (to drive to the AD) so fast that smoke would be coming off the bottom of my shoes!!

I would wait for what you want, and not settle. I know it doesn't help, but here is mine that I just picked up last month.

I would wait for the one you want but agree it would be tempting.

I'd be grateful if i could see a few pix of the real deal in the wild - black and sundust - i do like both. Sundust probably 15% more.

Well you gotta go with the one you like the best because i don't think it's worth having both in a collection.

I've just realized that there's a problem with the, "Wait for the one you want, don't settle," argument.

The problem is after you buy the watch you want. What if another watch comes out that you want more than the one you bought? Surely then that new watch is, "The one you want," and that you're suddenly settling for what you have on your wrist. This argument puts you on a potentially endless treadmill of allowing new watches to make you dissatisfied with what you have.

However, if you settle, this doesn't happen. If you buy a watch knowing it's not 100% the one you want, but a compromise, then when a new watch comes out that you want more, you're still in the same position: you have a watch that's fantastic just not 100% of what you wanted, and that's fine, because you decided to compromise. So there's no impetus to get the latest and greatest.

Basically, if you settle, then you might be happier in the long run than if you get that no-compromise watch.

I feel you have to consider a few factors like, will you be satisfied with it personally, and as a rear or limited-edition variant of watch their value well or even appreciate over time, especially if they become sought after by collectors. If you're considering the long-term value of your purchase, this could be a factor to take into account.

I would at least go take a look. I started to want the sundust dial but lately, I seem to be also enamoured with the black dial. Tough choice.

I tried on the black dial recently and it was awesome. Before I tried it I thought I preferred sundust...

Of course go get it. If you can get Sundust later from AD, you can sell the black one, you’ll get more than retail.

I have sundust OF and it’s a stunner.
