Where I'm from YG is more popular and that is why I went with a RG DD40. All my jewelry is YG and have a TT DJ41 in YG. I wanted something different.

I find RG too coppery and darkish for my taste. Would rather wear no gold than copper gold. I prefer YG and WG.

It's not really a function of the materials. Cartier, for instance, charges the same price for yellow gold and rose gold - they upcharge white gold, though.

Eh Cartier gold watches only looked good in the 80’s

Depends on location i guess. Actually asked my AD recently, and she stated that rose were more in demand than yellow (based on their location at least)

Depends on the reference and the brand but I think YG is the classic look when it comes to PMs.

It just seems like it should be, IMO. Most of my watches are still all stainless steel. When I fell in love with the Wimbledon dial, I thought it needed gold to make the rhodium dial pop. The yellow gold TT was the obvious choice, for me. The rose gold is nice, but a bit girly. I’m not one for girly watches. No offense to the guys who choose the rose gold.

LOl. He girliness of the watch is completely dependent on the manliness of the wearer. Says a man who proudly wears a “batgirl” ( and a few Everose watches that I really like)

Buy what you like. Why ? You should be planning to keep the watch for life.
I say that because you question might be hinting at what is better on the used market. Note that it doesn’t matter, both of these
Models heavily depreciate

DayDate’s dont seem to depreciate thaat much unless someone bought one at the peak last year when grey prices were through the roof.

Also tastes change so getting a watch to keep for life isnt easy. 7 years ago I loved my rose gold DD40 Olive dial. Now I prefer a smaller 36mm in yellow gold.

Not if you buy at MSRP. And these are watches that people buy to keep, not flip. At least I do. I don’t track gray market sales because I won’t sell them.

Please explain why the retail price on the SS Daytona is not double what it is...

It very obviously is not purely market priced.

Depends who you ask, which one is more popular. But just for discussion, I find the Rose Gold too coppery and generally do not like. Yellow gold is too bright, and generally do not like. Exception, the Root beer has some Rose on it, and is beautiful, probably because there's not too much rose. Also, the Bluesy has YG and since it's two tone, it's also acceptable, and quite beautiful. Just my .02 worth.

They are both popular but currently, Rose gold is trending and is often preferred for its modern and stylish look.
