I would get the Omega. The DSSD is uncomfortable to wear and the Omega has more functionality for most situations with the chrono function. Unless you are saturation diving and plan to use the DSSD and destroy it at work.

Between the two, I think the Omega looks classier, while still sporty. If you actually dive, purchase the Rolex. If you can afford it, and wish to spend that much, just buy both.

On a Rolex forum, you can expect people to go for the Deep Sea :) I love the Dssd dial so I'd go for it too

Rolex is just my opinion here btw the two but I don't think you can go wrong given the pricing of the Omega.

I would say Rolex. There should be many reasons for this but I think the primary one is that it holds a lot more value when you sell it in the future

This thread highlights how many people don't read the thread.

Six months ago a guy asks for watch advice, he even says he plans to purchase within the week. He makes his decision and makes the purchase......yet the advice keeps coming for months afterwards.

Get the Rolex DSSD. I Love my Seamaster but it's been problematic over the last 20yrs needing new crystals, 3 or 4 overhauls and poorly made factory replacement parts. And I really do love it. If it didn't keep to about -2 seconds per month I'd probably stop spending money on it every 4-5 yrs. My Sub just got it's first overhaul after 16yrs and has been trouble free the whole time.

If you care about resale I'd go for the rolex. If not, whichever suits your budget more
