Do they still make the Pepsi?
I'm looking for my first Rolex and it's either the Pepsi or the 50th Sub. Concerned about buying grey market online, so I'd rather go AD. Just curious if hte Pepsis are still made or if I'm going to have to buy used in order to get one. Thanks. |

The 16710 is really for me the mother of all watches. I've had mine for a few months and I cannot get it off. I started with the Pepsi config, then Coke and have now discovered black. Black it will stay at least until the summer when I might revert to Pepsi. But in black, it is such a beauty with the red hand. Absolute joy.

I was never interested in high-end watches, let alone Rolex, yet knew that Rolex was very high quality. One day within the past year, I came across a photo of a Pepsi-bezel GMT Master with a NATO strap, and my jaw dropped. I LOVED the contrast between the luxury watch with the $20 nylon strap.
I wanted to treat myself after having achieved great success in my chosen career. I just bought my first Rolex: 16710 in black. I debated for a while as I originally wanted the Pepsi. I felt that the all-black is a bit more universal/understated. I would love to know if its practical to swap out for a Pepsi bezel on my own and where I can purchase a genuine one. This is an excellent thread! Last edited by Roggie Rog; 21 June 2013 at 12:46 PM.. Reason: embellishing my thoughts |

Welcome to the Forum R.
You can buy inserts or complete bezels with inserts right here in the for sale section when you qualify for entry. My overpriced 'M' with the seldom appreciated 3186 movement. Sticks are hidden to avoid embarrassment.

So...to change the red time zone...you move the minutes hand until the red hand is where you want ot...then what?(how then adjust to set?)

Then move the 12 hr hand to the correct time as it moves independently ,I still can't figure out how to have 3 time zones simultaneously tho

3 timezones can't be displayed at the same time. To show a third timezones you must rotate the bezel to the new time.

Nice watches !!
I just pulled out my original black Submariner "red" letter dial Mark IV, model 1680 that my Air Force brother purchased for me in 1972. I wore it for many years as a commercial property manager. Never had it serviced and now it stopped working!! Had a few minor bumps and bruises and a few nicks on the crystal. Still have original paper work (serial # 2500xxx) but no box. I was told it has a good value and was wondering if I should take it in for tune up and crystal change? Any advice ?
