PAM01579 - Thoughts?

So Panerai just released the Submersible Luna Rossa - PAM01579. Wondering what people here think about it? Me personally, I find this to be a really stunning piece!

The black and crisp white is a winning combo.

I think my white dial Omega SMP300 will have to go and make way for this baby :)

Nice watch. Wish the small seconds wasn't red!

A real winner IMHO. If it was available in 44 or 47 I’d consider it.

Great looking piece. My favorite od the bunch would be the new ti-ceramic piece with a blue dial, although overpriced.

Such a lovely watch! The contrast between the dial and bezel is striking!

I was able to view this at a Panerai boutique recently. It's very sharp looking, caught my eye walking by and went in to try it on. Definitely want it. Only thing holding me back was the 11k price tag.

not bad, may also look good on steel bracelet. does brushed steel case hide scratches better than steel case?

I too dig the contrast between the bezel and dial. My white-dialed sub bianco is probably either first or second in my rotation the last year and a half plus since I grabbed it. Super legible and I love that watch.

The Luna Rossa theme is neither here nor there to me…but I also concur with previous comments that the price on this one is rather dear.

I loved it when I tried it on. It just seems crazy to pay 11k plus tax (basically 12k where I live) when in 1-2 years I can probably buy grey for 6-7k. The red, white and black was a beautiful combo though.

With Panerai aftermarket prices, I can't help but think if they had made retail like 8-9k they would make up the difference in volume? I , for one would have bought at the boutique at that price. Maybe they sell them all eventually but I bet some get back doored to the grey market. Anyway, I hope to own one someday.

That’s not a watch to buy at retail. Wait a while until some aftermarket ones come up for sale, 50% off.
