Rolex 5517 Dial

A genuine milsub dial came up for sale. Pretty wild!

Figured I would share.

By coincidence, there's another one up for sale as lot 548 in the Antiquorum Geneva auction in May.

Interesting! I doubt there are 2 with the same patina. One is most definitely a scam.

OP you sure that’s an authentic 5517 dial? That applied T looks like it was done in someone’s kitchen.

Yes agree defo doesn't look correct to me! I am sure H willl be along to confirm.

There are a few different versions of the 1970s milsub dial, but the one presented by the OP would appear not to be correct.

There are many 5517 reproduction dials floating around. Modern production methods have meant high-quality and very convincing A/M dials.
