Oyster Perpetual 1018 (36mm)
Hello all!
I recently aquired an oversized OP from what seems to be 1963. I've done quite a bit of research on this watch and have come to understand that I have an older version with a 1560 movement, Swiss only dial and dauphine hands. Something I wasn't anticipating upon opening the box was a blued second hand. Anybody have any insight into this? There is another one up on omega forums currently with a blued second hand that looks like mine, but I just want to be sure this is correct and accurate, as I paid and was assured this was a fairly original example. |

It's hard to be sure about these variations, but I think it could be ok. I've seen similar.

Thanks for the quick reply! And for taking me off a ledge!
I definitely saw that one on omega forums, but nice to see another one too. Also i just saw that the YouTube channel wristwatch revival just posted a video about a 50s OP and it also happened to have a blued second hand.... don't know why I never noticed this! I'm now trying to figure out how to send this stretch rivet expandable bracelet to rolliworks! |

I have an early 60s 36mm Precision with a blued hand. Obviously, none of this is proof that the hands are original, but I like them regardless.

They're definitely a neat little flourish. Especially on a buttoned up silver face OP.
I dig it! |
