Which YG Daytona?

I own and love my YG Zenith Daytona Ref. 16528. I’ve also always admired the YG Daytona Ref. 116508 aka The “John Mayer”.

The thought has recently crossed my mind of changing things up. I’ve tried to assess Pros/Cons of each and remain a bit torn.

What would you do?

16528 Pros:

1) Effortlessly cool
2) Brushed lugs and classic proportions
3) Zenith movement and “inverted 6” dial

116508 Pros:

1) That Green Dial!
2) Better movement
3) Arguably more robust

16528 Cons:

1) Doesn’t have that Green Dial!

116508 Cons:

1) Hype?
2) Proportions very good, but not quite as good as 16528
3) Higher price point / cost of entry

I like them both. It’s not one of my favorite Daytona dials, but in this case I would pick the green.

I like your watch much more than the green dial Daytona. Your watch is to me much more classic and versatile. If I was to do the full YG Daytona the black dial with gold chapter rings would be my choice.

16528 is it between the two. I think the delta you'd spend on a the green hype could get you the beautiful white dial 16528 Jacek put up for sale today.

116508. The additional weight is also an added bonus.

Tough call. Both are great. I prefer modern but I suppose it depends on the cost to change?

Both great watches but I prefer the newer green dial. Is it worth the change up? Only you can make that decision.

Anyone can buy a green 116508 if you pay the price. Finding a beautiful and unpolished 16528 is another story! I would absolutely keep your 16528!!

Appreciate everyone’s perspective and input, and this feedback particularly resonated.

Thanks for shifting the paradigm and helping me think differently on this one. I plan to stick with the 16528!

I’d go in between with 116528 in either PN or reverse PN. My favorite below.
