Need help deciding between different Daytona 116509s

Planning on buying a Daytona early next year, I've narrowed down my choices and would love to get some opinions on these pieces:

Price is roughly the same for all 3.

Pictures are not mine, just from google.

- Blue dial
- Gray dial
- Meteorite dial (the "cheapest" of the meteorite daytonas)

Blue for sure for me.

A somewhat distant second would be the silver dial.

I do not care for that meteorite dial…at all.

I would be very happy dailying either the blue or silver dial.

What don't you like about the meteorite?

I don’t like the overall design language with the smaller Roman’s and monochromatic styling. It has an “old” look to it and not in a good way. The red chrono hand cheapens the look to me. I don’t care for the execution.

I have been through a very similar scenario over the past few months.
Unfortunately I can't post pics yet as I don't have the required number of posts, but the three on my list were:
Silver racing, Blue and meteorite.
I found a dealer that had all three and a week ago I went to see them all side by side and tried them on.
I went there thinking that I would rate them in the order stated above, and whilst the Blue and Silver were fabulous...the Meteorite dial just blew me away and I left wearing that one.
If you can, try and get to look at all three in person as pics don't do them justice.

Just hope to buy the one that you want to own and wear, that's the only opinion that matters.

Husband had the blue dial version, was a nice looking watch. He found it hard to read and smallish.

Gray dial for me. Looks the most elegant to me. I grew bored of my blue dialed DJ41 pretty quickly.

That's interesting, I read from this forum that the blue dial was unique in being the easier to read of all the daytonas.

Blue. It's among the best blue dials Rolex has ever made. They grey is a little underwhelming, and this variation of meteorite dial just doesn't look as good with the romans with red chrono and seconds hands. It feels sporty while trying to be dressy. Additionally, depending on what year of the meteorite it is, it will have the old style clasp. The newer one is better in my opinion.

Grey for me - it looks vintage, traditional, modern and timeless all at once. I like this version.

(Blue in second and meteorite third. Not a fan of romans and while I normally like a bit of red or orange, it doesn’t work for me on this version.)

While I’m massive for Meteorite, the grey dial and solid black sub-dials is more appealing to me …

That's a tough one. I would probably go with the steel dial, but really it would just depend on what else was in the collection.

No other daytonas. I had a 116500 and a 116520 (both black dial), but ended up getting rid of them as they weren't getting enough wrist time - while great watches they looked a bit boring. I loved the way they fit, so wanted to try a daytona with some splash of color/variation.

I have a speedy meteorite apollo soyuz and a blue seamaster as well, so wouldn't be my first meteorite/blue dial watches.

From the 3, I like the blue and steel dial - but for me it would come down to what else you have in the collection
