RSC Kings Hill

Hi everyone,

My name is Paul and having been a long time lurker, thought I would finally register and introduce myself.

I’ve owned a stainless steel and gold Datejust with concealed clasp Jubilee bracelet for almost 16 years. Bought it new from the local AD and have worn it daily. It stopped self winding a couple of months ago so I took to winding it manually. It then began to run erratically, stopping randomly and then restarting! Decided then that it probably was due for a service!!

Took it to the RSC at Kingshill and must say I was impressed. The watch has come back like new and was only away for 10 days. Hopefully will be good for another 10 years now!

Your experience with your Rolex Datejust sounds like a journey many watch enthusiasts can relate to. It's impressive that you've owned it for almost 16 years and that it has been such a reliable daily companion. It's not uncommon for mechanical watches to require servicing after many years of use, especially if they've never been serviced before.

Great to see your watch went as long as it did before it needed a service and fingers crossed you get a similar sort of time now it’s been done.
