That piece is on my list and I have a similar size wrist as you. I’d post pics but can’t figure out how to resume them from my phone rn!

I’d say go for it. As long as you like it, that’s all that matters. We’re talking about jewelry, essentially. Perfect fit is more relevant to clothing, and sensibilities around that are fickle as well - constantly changing decade by decade. Just make sure your shoes fit well!

see picture below.
discovering the DJ 36 instead of 41 showed me that a watch can easily be too big.

IF TOO BIG - which (sport) rolex watch would be a good fit as a 2nd watch?
I had to do a double take when I saw that pic as I thought it was my wrist lol. I have the same watch as well as a CHNR and I think it looks great on you. I don't like to wear anything bigger, but I think that watch looks fine on smaller wrists (mine is 6.75"). Cheers!

As has been commented, that photo is not representative of how it actually looks on you.
Take photo from a mirror or further away.
I have a 6.5” wrist and fits fine.

I have a 6.5" wrist and I did feel the GMT II was a bit too large feeling on my wrist.

Likewise the Datejust 41. That said, every time I try on the DJ 36, I feel it wears too small for me, and I wear 34,35, and 36mm watches. I don't know what it is about the DJ 36 proportions (that many say is perfect) that don't work for me. I think it's the thickness vs the case size. All of my 36mm and under watches are very thin and work well on my wrist.

I did recently try on a previous generation Datejust (with the thicker lugs) and I have always disliked those in pictures, but on my wrist it looked and felt perfect.

And here is a DJ41 compared to my Planet Ocean, which is not a small watch, but it actualy looks smaller than the Datejust. Wild.

I have also tried on a 5 digit Sub (LV) and a 5 digit Exp II. Those were ideal if my memory serves.

Thanks! ;)

How about something really big in my book? Again, with a custom strap it manages to work. This is now really walking on thin ice but again, to see it from 2m apart in the mirror - it's fine, the lugs do not overhang, I can see the strap and Pams need to look big.

You are welcome!

Go and try but look from approx 2m/6ft apart for a proper impression, top down look on your wrist is decieving.

p.s. I tried the white one as well but it visually wears larger so that was a no go.

One last thought for the OP - these are in the end all sports watches with a bezel, meaning they can wear on the large side as long as they are comfortable and lugs do not overhang.

For a dress watch where it's all about dial, I would go smaller.

Jubilee wears smaller, without a doubt. The jubilee does not extend the lug-to-lug length as much, and can adapt to your wrist a little better.

Relatively easy to get one permanent link removed from the 6 o'clock side of the bracelet.

RSC plus some of the better known indie shops (LAWW, Rolliworks) can do this.

I have a smaller wrist and am going through this process with Rolliworks right now, actually.

We basically have the same wrist - I ended up with a 5-digit Exp II.

In years past I've worn 6-digit SubC, GMT LN but they never sat exactly "right" in my head. Also wore an OP36 but it felt small (maybe because of my 6' height).

Two "ideal" watches for me are 5-digit sport models and DaytonaC!

This is a 41mm DJ on a 6.5” wrist, when photo taken from a normal distance, without the lens close up distortion.
As you can see, fits just fine.

Same watch and wrist when taken closer.
Looks a lot bigger on wrist now.

It look absolutely fantastic If you really love that watch, please wear that watch. You only live once, and it would be a shame to miss out on such a cool piece because you are worried your wrist may be 1/8 of an inch too small.

I think it looks borderline too large, but it could be your wrist shot. I would suggest a 39mm Explorer as an alternative if you're on the fence. My friend with a wrist your size has one, and it looks great.
