Would you fix/service this?
I have a SKX that i am not even sure how old it is anymore, 12yrs? maybe older. The bracelet is completely slopped out (yep, that's word...today). The bezel is super stiff to turn. It does run, but not sure how well, haven't metered this one. It was never super accurate anyway. It's a cool old watch, but I paid may $165 for it. Financially I can't see how a service cost makes any sense, but it is a SKX...What would you do?

Take it to your local watch repair man and get a quote. If it were me yes I’d service it.

Your watchmaker may be able to source you a newer movement and just swap it out.

I would service it, throw the bracelet out and buy a strapcode bracelet for it. The bracelets are pretty cheap on the skx, the strapcode might be $100 or so, but it’s a rock solid bracelet. It’s so much better than what it costs.

Depends on whether you actually plan on wearing it.
Sounds like the answer to that question is a "no". Not worth it then - even though servicing a seiko is pretty cheap. Your call.

I would do a service or movement replacement and get a new bracelet and be back wearing it.

Strap Code makes excellent bracelets for well under $100
