Look at Certified Pre-Owned. Generally less money than the resellers and freshly serviced. My SIL just sent his Breitling SuperOcean in and it was $1700 for service.

The advice to go to an AD is right. The new model has some significant upgrades including; rock solid bracelet, ez link, 3230 movement, AR coating on underside of glass and warranty.
I don’t think saving 1-2k is worth going pre owned. If you have to have a service done your savings is gone. The new model harks back to the designs of the 1016 very much. It’s epic. It’s not a hard watch to get and most ADs have them for sale. I’m wearing my 124270 right now bc it’s the most comfortable watch I own and my EDC. My particular sample is +1s per WEEK! Wild.
