An incoming that closes the circle

I started watches in 2018. I did know nothing at that time. I checked all « high horology » brands and all collections. I rapidly understood that I like skeleton watches. The 15407OR was my natural grail. I could have it at that time for 60k€ (retail was 80k€).
But I was a beginner, and broke so I went for a Hublot Classic fusion ultra thin skeleton. After this one another Hublot meca-10 skeleton. Looks like I really enjoy skeleton.
After that I begon my AP journee during the hype and I knew 15407OR was unobtainum at that time. The more money I got, the more 15407OR exponentially costs. My SA told me no visibility on this model for a good 1,5 year. When I was waiting for the new double balance skeleton to shows up, SA suddently tells me that hope was there.
And yet the hope and the Watch are there.
It is so strange to finally be able to collect that watch that I was looking for so long. I was scared that I didn’t like it in person. But I saw it yesterday and boy this is georgous.
This still feels good and so unreal at the same time.
Thanks everybody here for all the informations provided about how to get to it and all the Hope you have gave me through the process.
Now I will have to find another hobby, this is done hahahahahah. No it never ends with watches like we all know.
Thank you everybody I will post some pictures when I got it !

This is awesome - looking forward to seeing pictures! The double balance is one of my grails as well. What pieces were in your AP journey that led up to the double balance? I also started with Hublot previously, had a skeletonized Moonphase Classic Fusion and a skeletonized Big Bang in steel/ceramic. 2 pieces in now with AP!

I started with 26238ti grey offshore in 2022, then 1 year after 15550st blue Diamond bezel for my wife, then 6 months later code 38mm ivory for her. Then beginning of this year 15210qt (3 hands code taupe wich is a perfect daily), then finally the 15407OR. My « chance » was I still has 0 Royal Oak model, so the 15407 was obtainable as our 5th watch. But still I am surprised and very excited …

Awesome, thank you for sharing! Very well-rounded collection for you both - good representation across all the lines. Really looking forward to the double balance in rose gold as well, haven’t seen those very often - very excited for you!

Excellent story and great to see a top allocation go to someone without need for a crazy number of “prerequisite” pieces!
Congratulations

I really am living the dream :-)
Got a nice book about AP complications with it and a new black strap for my taupe 15210QT.
Now we can again go to diner easyer with the SA.
Things are getting better here for watch enthousiasts :-)
