Offered Another DJ 41 Today

lucky me. Different AD but I had inquired about a year ago for a mint green, that never came to fruition but did get a bright blue locally. Then obtained the slate DJ 41 soon after.

I received a text today from the AD whom I have not purchased from for the champagne dial with gold/steel jubilee. I just need to work out the logistics of going and picking it up, but yes, I'll take it. I may ended selling the rhodium to offset the cost, we'll see.

It's all preferences, but for me, that champagne dial is right at the top for me. The only thing better would be a day/date, in gold, with green dial.

So are you still pursuing the mint? Two-tone champaigne dial is a certified OG classic

That is THE Datejust to get ... if you are good with two tone. Doesn't work for everyone. Go try it on and take your time and make sure it works for you.

I don't think so. It is still appealing, but I think I'll stick with what I have now.

Congrats! A two tone Datejust is so classic. You will love how it looks in sunlight. Can’t wait to see a wrist shot.

Well that didn't work out.

Turns out, it was a two-tone with silver dial. No biggie. I could have taken possession of it and flipped it, but not interested in the hassle.

This turned out to be a good event for me. I tried on a 36mm again, and decided, I'm not really a 41 guy after all. The AD will put me in the que again for two tone jubilee, fluted bezel, champagne dial...in a 36mm.

This order for the silver dial was placed sometime back in February. With any luck, one will come up again in the system and shipped to the AD.

I was so thrilled to get the text message, I completely overlooked what the AD sent me. Which was "silver" dial. My bad and I should have clarified back in February, thought I had, it was an error, no big deal and the store won't have any problem moving the 41.

you would have taken a bath flipping it so good that you didn't. good that you at least figured out your preferred size and hopefully the one you want comes soon. i personally much prefer 36 to 41

I've been wearing this one for about a year now. It's not like it's a love-hate thing because I love looking at it, it presents so well, goes with anything.

But deep down, I also know 36mm is the proper size for me. More likely than not though, I'll also hang onto the 41mm as it's such a great piece. Having two watches though with such a close color, the silver and the rhodium, just didn't make sense and champagne is what I really want.
