GMT CHNR End Of Warranty

My GMT CHNR (Rootbeer) purchased in 2019 is reaching it's end of the 5 year OEM warranty this month. Any reason I should bring it in for a check-up? It has the 3285 Caliber movement that was serviced back in 2022 for a malfunction. Any chance they start the clock over for the 5 year warranty when they provide service during the warranty period?

Unfortunately the clock doesn't reset. You do get a service warranty of 2 years that can exceed the original warranty depending on date of service I believe.

Also, which watch?

A Batman is a BLNR. A CHNR is a "Root Beer".

No, the clock doesn't start over. If you have warranty work done with 2 days left in the warranty, then you have 2 days left.

If you have an issue that you pay for a service, you get their 2 year warranty, but it isn't an add-on, you need to pay for that service.

You can take it in for a warranty issue, but just having it checked-over isn't part of a warranty, the warranty is for manufacturing defects.

A-Aron - it is the Rootbeer. I also have the Batman (which I've had no issue with), and they both keep excellent time.
