What to take to Italy?

I am leaving this week for a vacation in Italy where time will be spent on the Amalfi/ Capri and some days in Rome to close out. I was going to take 2 watches with me so the question is what to take? I was thinking a PL DD 40 and Pepsi but there are some PP’s in the mix for consideration as well.

DD 40
5726
Pepsi
5712
Daytona

I would take only one watch and keep it on your wrist. There is just way too much risk when bringing multiple pieces on vacation. Where are you going to store it when it isn't on the wrist? Hotel safe is not safe at all... your bag can be tampered with.

I've made this mistake before and I would constantly be worried about the watch I left behind hidden or stored.

If you call the places where you are staying and they offer a safety deposit box in the lobby, you'd be somewhat safer. I'd bring the DD.

I hate traveling with more than one watch, it’s just added stress.

I’d personally go for the Pepsi and only that. Can handle anything and you have an applicable complication for travel.

Last thing I would be thinking about what watch I would take as time would be the least important thing on my mind especially on holiday.

None of the above
A beater, unless you like your arm separated from your shoulder or getting rolled.
Have a great trip.

DD 40 Platinum.
You're going to be next to the water in Amalfi / Capri. (Blue & blue)

Enjoy!

5712 & Pepsi GMT will work at whatever high end hotel/resort your are staying at; plus a beater to wear when you are not with the security detail protecting your wrist in public.

I voted Pepsi - you are traveling and it is a cool fun watch. Wouldn’t take anything else.

I'd just bring one, I would be too worried about storage of the second. That one in this case would be the Pepsi

Personally wouldn’t want the hassle of one of those fantastic pieces being left in a safe or your luggage. Take one and enjoy, GMT would be my choice

Maybe consider just taking the one. Saves carrying too much about with you, especially if you are travelling around and changing hotels.

I took my Pepsi jubilee as my only watch on a recent US west coast trip. Wore it for everything, pool, bars, beach.

Amalfi and capri should be all good(iv been). Keep your wits about you in Rome, where your watch will be more of a target.

I’d take either the Daytona or Pepsi.

Great 5 piece collection BTW.

Just to echo others’ sentiments here. Only bring one watch. Don’t let it leave your wrist. Enjoy your trip.
I for one would not want to be carrying almost 100K in watches on my vacation.

More than 1 = unnecessary stress.
I like the Panerai idea too. Bring zero and buy a Panerai while there.
