These things are trading in the toilet. Go grey and save some money.

Sub selling slightly above retail in Singapore.

Grey prices for SD43 are down at and below retail. I was on same list as you Sub and or SD43. My Sea dweller cam in two, three months at the Short Hills Boutique. I would wait as you already decided. I love the extra presence of the SD43 over the Sub , but really can’t compare, as I’ve never owned a sub. It ( the Sub) would probably be great on my 6.75 wrist, but man, the SD43 is so cool. Wearing my Tank tonight for my anniversary dinner. Good luck!

Buy from AD. You want to buy other watches in the future so it just makes sense.

Going with a reputable grey will save $ (at least tax) and time. Going AD will start a relationship.

You should be able to get from AD quickly.

Good luck.

Only gray sd 43 that is same or close to retail are 5 plus years old and most seem to charge sales tax so not sure where everyone is saying it's below retail. I guess if a good condition that's 5 year old points but not an accurate comparison. But got enough nice watches that waiting no big deal. 3 of my 4 were grail watches for me at one point so pretty damn happy about them so no worries. It's been 5 weeks now so not long but at this point unless a full year goes by I won't consider it . My luck would be going grey and then the next day the AD calling me

You're spending a big chunk of money on a quality watch, get it from the AD and enjoy the whole purchase experience, don't forget to ask for your gifts.

Oh, nearly forgot the SD is a beautiful watch, a nice solid lump of joy on your wrist, there's one on my wrist as I type this.

Waiting is good especially if you want to develop a relationship with your AD and get the watch new with a 5 year warranty. If you are fed up of waiting or you feel like owning an SD43 that may have a chance of becoming collectable in the future, you should go for an SD43 Mk1 from grey. Not many dealers know about the Mk1 SD43, and some just don't care so prices are similar to Mk2 SD43 for the time being. Disadvantage is no warranty or close to expiring one.

To me honesty I see quite a few at trusted sellers below retail in basically as new condition/full set. The AD isn’t going to give you a discount. I would just buy second hand I think and have it right away rather than having to wait and paying more.
