Gauthier - Skeletonized Sports Watch

Looks like Gauthier just teased an openworked C?

Very curious to see how it turns out and if the finishing will be closer to the Logical1 in style over the normal C.

Instagram. It's a very brief tease. Looks like an announcement July 2nd.

Just saw the new openworked C6 on RG's website. Not sure what to think but then again I am not a big fan of openworked watches in general. RG will make 88 of the C6 whereas 38 each were made of C2 to C5.

Curious as to the new bracelet edition that is announced on the website as well...

I definitely prefer the non-skeletonized version in this instance the new one isn't for me but I'm sure will fly off shelves.

This is reminding me how I emailed my local RG dealer over a year ago about the C and never heard back. Wonder if I'd be any closer to getting one by now probably not.

They trade as a discount so I’m surprised the AD blew you off. They aren’t super waitlisted or anything.

Personally, this release is very disappointing. Not a fan of how it was openworked. Just kind of meh.

In my experience you get blown off more than not in this industry. I felt like a pest trying to buy a GO one time literally went to my car and bought it off C24 from the parking lot of the AD. They shoulda done a backflip when someone came in interested in a GO haha

Also didn't realize they came down so much in price definitely glad they blew me off now!

For me it’s a mild improvement on an otherwise odd overall aesthetic for a watch. I am a sucker for orange though.

This is pretty nice but not something I’d buy. Love what RG is doing. Can’t wait to see what else comes from them down the line.

I guess this is more of an "open work" than a full skeletonized version? Looks ok. Not better or worse for me.

But in looking through Guathier's website, it occurred to me that the rubber strap and the bracelet are not interchangeable. It's either one or the other.... Is that right?

Yeah, I saw that too! An openworked C from Gauthier sounds intriguing. If it's anything like the Logical1, it should be pretty impressive. Can't wait to see the final product!
