A little more than 2 years since I let my explorer go. Huge seller remorse, and even though the Datejust is great, the explorer was always on my mind.

So I went to a random AD with no spending history and got an explorer allocation in a little more than a month.

Super happy to have my watch back and corrected my mistake selling the explorer.

Now the question… should I sell the Datejust. 🤣 🤣 🤣

I have a 124270 and have thought about a move just like the one you made. I'll be I interested in what others think. But I love the Explorer. It'd be hard to let it go.

New Income - 1 have to leave

I’d find a way to keep all 3. Great trio, there! And I see that eventually you did!

Exactly that. Lol!

That’s a pretty great and well rounded 3 watch collection!

I would have never sold the Ex1 but I see you’re fixing that..

Having owned the DJ for over 2 years, how has the wearing experience been for you versus your old Ex1?

The DJ 36 fits you very well.

Ha! Congrats on getting the Explorer back! Give yourself 3 to 6 months to settle back in with the Explorer - you might end up wearing both, in which case I'd say keep both!

The difficulty for me is the similarity between the Explorer and DJ. Yes I understand that the DJ has a Date and a Jubilee bracelet but shape and size and look of the two watches are very similar on a casual glance.

If I had the Explorer then I think that the DJ wouldn't be top of my list unless I went with the fluted bezel and made the watch visually different from the Explorer, if I had a DJ then the Explorer II would have been more appropriate, but it is a much bigger watch and may not look great on the wrist.

Watches need to be different in my collection, having watches that look similar doesn't appeal to me.

Great that you have your Explorer back in the collection, should you sell the DJ, no. If finances permit hang on to it at least for a few months and see how you feel about it.
