FS: Grand Seiko SBGR073 (37mm, Automatic)

Hi folks! Available today is a beautiful and not often seen Grand Seiko SBGR073 automatic. With the throwback Seiko / Grand Seiko double logo dial, this watch was originally purchased in 2018 and has a stainless steel case measuring a very wearable 37mm wide (40mm with crown) x 13.3mm thick x 44.5mm lug to lug case. You can see how it wears in the pictures on my 6.75” wrist. This particular variant has an incredible blue sunburst dial with red-tipped sweep seconds hand making it very eye catching and versatile! Powered by the beautifully decorated 9S65 automatic movement, it is running at 0-1 sec/day with 0.1 BE and 270+ amplitude based on my timegrapher (your mileage may vary)!

Condition wise I would put this at 82-83%. There are no major dings or nicks in the case or crystal. There are a few micro dings visible under close inspection and a number of hairline scratches and light scuffs in the polished surfaces of the case. The bracelet has some desk diving wear, the heavier of it being on the 12 o’clock side. Overall, the Zaratsu polish has held up well and tends to hide a lot of the surface blemishes unless viewed in harsh light.

The sale includes the watch, 3 extra links + 1 half link, plus the full kit including outer box, inner box, original stamped warranty paperwork from Japan and the rarely seen serialized Grand Seiko factory certificate certifying the movement’s accuracy and build quality. This is a great set for a collector looking to get into a great entry level of high end Japanese automatic craftsmanship.
